The Boundary Dam (English for "Grenz-Damm") is a dam on the Pend Oreille River in the northeast of the US state Washington .

The Boundary Dam is located in the Selkirk Mountains 25 km above the confluence of the Pend Oreille River and the Columbia River . The Canadian border is 1.5 km north of the dam. The small town of Metaline Falls is 14 km south of the dam on the right bank of the dammed river. The dam, completed in 1967, is a 104 m high double arch dam made of concrete . The crown length is 226 m. The crown width is 2.4 m, the base width 9.8 m.
Reservoir
The 27 km long reservoir covers an area of 726 hectares. It extends upstream to the Box Canyon Dam . 9 miles downstream is the Seven Mile Dam . The catchment area covers 65,260 km². The target is 607.77 m .
power plant
The power plant operated by Seattle City Light has six Francis turbines (four units of 150 MW each and 2 units of 185 MW each).
