Boureima Kimba (* 1968 ; † April 21, 2013 in Niamey ) was a Nigerien sprinter .

Career

Boureima Kimba set his personal best in 1989, with 10.87 seconds in the 100-meter run and 21.67 seconds in the 200-meter run . He was a Nigerien champion in both disciplines.

Kimba took part in the Olympic Games twice. At the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona , he competed in the men's 200-meter run and was eliminated in the heats with a time of 22.49 seconds. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta , he took part in the men's 100-meter run . Here, too, he was eliminated in the heats, his time was 11.24 seconds.

He later became a coach and worked as a Nigerien national coach. Because of his work with young athletes, he was nicknamed "Teacher". Kimba was also Deputy Secretary General of the Association des Anciens Athlètes du Niger , the association of former Nigerian athletes.

He died in an accident.
