Boyster is a French animated series produced by Je Suis Bien Content. The title character Boyster is half human and half oyster. The name Boyster was composed of the English words Boy and Oyster ( English for boy and oyster ). The series premiered on June 16, 2014 on the US cable channel Disney XD . The German-language first broadcast took place from February 2, 2015 to December 25, 2015 on the pay TV channel Disney XD .

Boyster, born to a poisonous substance, is half boy, half oyster and was adopted by human parents. He's like any other boy, except that he can stretch like chewing gum, shoot sparks from his armpits, control water currents, and spit out pearls when he eats calcium . Boyster also has a twin brother named Shelby, who is a giant talking clam and can also fly. Boyster loves his mutant life most of the time, but it doesn't always have it easy. Still, Boyster has many adventures with his twin brother Shelby and best friend Rafik.
