The bridge is sometimes used to denote the tournament collar , which is primarily used as a symbol in the coats of arms of noble people .

Building

The bridge as a structure is used as a coat of arms motif in Redenden coat of arms . Example is the coat of arms of Königsbrück . The bridge motif in the city coat of arms mostly indicates the location of the place at a river crossing. The representation and color of the bridge are not uniform. Of the possible types of bridges are in heraldry mostly bow , hanging and folding bridges used. The buildings are shown in a strongly stylized way. Masonry is often suggested. The number of bridge arches range from one to rarely more than five. The bridge motif is one of the most common common figures along with the castle , the fort and the tower .
