Bridge bastion
The bridge bastion in Hanover is a memorial based on plans by the architect and sculptor Stefan Schwerdtfeger . The " Bastion " built in 1981 also forms a bridge for pedestrians from the Prinzengarten or Welfengarten over the Schneiderberg street to the main cafeteria of the University of Hanover with building number 3110.
Schwerdtfeger's monument as public art created in the course of construction of the main dining hall, after a design competition for the plans of winning the first prize in 1979 architects LTK (Günter Laskowski, Wolfgang Then House and Klaus Kafka), by the general contractor & Boswau Knauer was built .
