Braindead is an American low-budget - splatter film directed by Kevin S. Tenney . It was released on October 17, 2007.

action

When two men go on a fishing trip, one of them is hit in the head by a meteorite and attacked by an extraterrestrial parasite that mutates him into a zombie-like monster. He then kills his companion, eats his brain and goes in search of further victims. When he meets the deputy Jimmy Ray, he strangles him and spits a dark slime in his face, whereupon he also mutates into a monster.

Meanwhile, the delinquents Clarence and Bob manage to escape from their prisoner transport during a flat tire, with Bob seizing the pump gun of their guardian. On their escape into the forest, they soon come across an empty fishing hut, in which they temporarily quarter. The medical students Sherry and Claudia, who got lost on a hike, also happened upon the hut a short time later. There they are held by Bob under threat of violence. The television preacher Farnsworth and his young, attractive supporter Amy, who have lost their car in an accident and get to the hut in search of help, are also forced to stay by Bob.

The situation escalates when the ranger Sydney examines the hut and is involved in a firefight with Bob, in the course of which she is shot and finally brutally killed by the mutated deputy Jimmy Ray, who arrives at the fishing hut at this point. As soon as they recognize the danger, the other six hide in the hut from the attacks of the monsters and have to fight for their survival there as the film progresses.
