The Brandner Schiffahrt GmbH is an owner-run shipping company with headquarters in Wallsee. It is run by Barbara Brandner-Mosser and Wolfram Mosser. The two ships Austria and Austria Princess operate liner shipping in the Wachau and charter shipping on the Danube .
history
On September 30, 1995, Barbara and Birgit Brandner, the two sisters from a long-standing Danube shipper family, acquired Austria from a Dutch shipowner. In April 1996 the ship went into service after a complete redesign of the interior. Shortly afterwards, the first of a total of 12 moorings were built in Melk, Spitz and Krems.
In May 1997 Wolfram Mosser-Brandner, Barbara Brandner's husband, joined the family business. In 1999, Brandner Schiffahrt, together with the state of Lower Austria and the municipality of Korneuburg, founded "Donau Schiffsstations GmbH", the first public-private partnership on the Danube, which deals with the management and marketing of 38 Danube stations between Linz and Budapest. Barbara Brandner has taken over the management of the "Donau Schiffsstations GmbH" company since it was founded.
For several years, also includes a winery with wine tavern in Rossatz , under the name The rafting is marketed and forms an additional destination for tourism in the course of navigation on the left bank of the Danube.
In 2016, the two ships carried 110,000 passengers through the Wachau.

Products
Brandner Schiffahrt offers various day and evening themed cruises in the Wachau as well as year-round ship charters on the Danube.
The Austria transits the Wachau daily from April to October scheduled service between Melk and Krems , with further stops in Emmersdorf , Spitz , Weißenkirchen and Dürnstein . The Austria Princess is mainly used in the charter sector for events of all kinds.
