Brandten is a district of the municipality of Langdorf in the Lower Bavarian district of Regen . Until 1976 it formed an independent community.

location

Brandten is located in the Bavarian Forest about two kilometers north of Langdorf.

history

The place was founded by Hans Sigmund von Degenberg, the last Degenberger . With six estates, Prändt is listed for the first time in the pen book of the rule of Weißenstein in 1596. It later formed a main team and was subordinate to the Weissenstein nursing court. In the year of conscription in 1752, Brandten consisted of eight properties.

1808 from the main teams Brandten and Schwarzach and the chairman shaft Außenried the control district formed Brandten. From this, the rural community of Brandten emerged in 1813 . In the 20th century, Froschau and Reisachmühle were added to the original parts of the municipality of Brandten, Außenried and Schwarzach , while the Jägerhaus wasteland, which was recorded as part of the municipality in 1821, was last listed in 1867 under the name Berghäusl . On January 1, 1976, the municipality of Brandten was incorporated into the municipality of Langdorf as part of the regional reform with 537 inhabitants and 1,267 hectares of municipal area.

  • Hans Girgl Chapel. It was built in 1844 and rebuilt in 1905. The interior contains an altar depicting the coronation of Mary and wooden figures of St. Sebastian and St. George.
