Brar Roeloffs

Brar Cornelius Roeloffs (born October 14, 1928 in Süderende ; † March 22, 2013 ) was a German farmer and ministerial official .

Career

Roeloffs was born as the son of a farmer on the island of Föhr . He first worked on his father's farm. From 1955 he studied agricultural science and then joined the ministerial administration of Schleswig-Holstein. As a ministerial advisor, he headed the agricultural structure department in the Ministry of Agriculture and was a consultant at the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry for one year .

After the political turning point in the GDR, he went to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 1990 and became State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture in the cabinet of Prime Minister Alfred Gomolka (CDU) . He stayed in office until 1994.

From 1996 to 2012 he was a member of the advisory board of the Nordfriisk Instituut .
