Bratislavský lesný park

The Bratislavský lesný park (German Pressburger Waldpark ) is a forest park (actually forest) in Bratislava in the Little Carpathians . The administration is carried out by the municipal organization Bratislavské mestské lesy (German Pressburg City Forests ) and is located in the districts of Staré Mesto , Nové Mesto , Lamač , Záhorská Bystrica and Rača . The size of the park is 27.3 km²; Forest covers 96% of the area, the rest are meadows, bodies of water and buildings. The park has original flora and fauna, such as B. Badgers ,Red foxes and mouflons . The river Vydrica has its source in the park.

There are numerous popular excursion destinations in the park, such as the Partizánska lúka (literally "Partisan Meadow "), Železná studienka (German Eisenbrünnl ), Koliba and the Kamzik ​​television tower . Several hiking and cycling trails run through the park area.

According to a survey carried out in June 2012, 62% of visitors come to the park at Červený most (German Red Bridge ), followed by Koliba and Pekná cesta Street in Rača. Cyclists, who made up 13% of all visitors, mostly travel to the park through Potočná Street.
