The television tower Bratislava , television tower Bratislava or television tower Gemsenberg (Slovak Televízna veža Kamzíku na ) is a 200 meter high concrete tower , which refers to 433 m nm on the mountain Kamzík (German Gemsenberg located). The Bratislava TV tower was completed in 1975 according to the plans of the architects Stanislav Májek , Jakub Tomašák , Juraj Kozák , Milan Jurica and Ján Privitzer and has the shape of a double pyramid, similar to a Blaw Knox transmission tower . In addition to television channels, several Slovak radio programs are broadcast, mostly with high transmission power. The Slovak radio stations can be received as far as Vienna without any problems. As with many large transmission towers, this tower also has a restaurant at a height of 68 meters. Part of it is designed as a revolving stage with a 360 ° all-round view of the Carpathian Mountains , Bratislava ( Pressburg ), the Danube and across the borders to Hungary , Austria and the Czech Republic . The transmitter will be upgraded to operate DVB-T .
Views from the television tower
The revolving stage with the restaurant was closed in 2010. Since 2011 there are again two restaurants in the TV tower.
