The brewery Brinkhoff GmbH is a brewing company in Dortmund , which the Radeberger group of Dr. August Oetker KG . The name was created in 2002 by renaming the Dortmund Union-Ritter-Brauerei in honor of the founding master brewer of the Dortmund Union-Brauerei , Fritz Brinkhoff .

Their best-known product is BRINKHOFF's No.1 , a Pilsner beer with 5.0% alcohol by volume, which has been brewed in Dortmund since 1977 according to the original recipe developed by Fritz Brinkhoff in 1887 and is mainly available in retail and gastronomy in the Ruhr area . Since the takeover of the company by Brau und Brunnen and the closure of the brewery in Dortmund-Lütgendortmund in 2006, the beer has been brewed in the Dortmund Actien brewery .

In addition to the Pils, the mixed beer drinks Brinkhoff’s Radler and Brinkhoff’s Cola + Bier as well as the alcohol-free Brinkhoff’s alcohol- free beer are also sold .

Since July 1, 2008, the Brinkhoff brewery has had the sole right to serve beer at the Borussia Dortmund games in Signal Iduna Park .
