The Kronen Privatbrauerei Dortmund GmbH , also known as the Kronen Brewery and the private brewery Dortmunder Kronen, is a brewery company with a long tradition in Dortmund , which has since become part of the Radeberger Group of Dr. August Oetker KG . Since 2000, the beer has been brewed without its own active brewery at the Dortmund Actien brewery .
history
The historic Kronen Brewery was one of the oldest breweries in Westphalia and has its headquarters on the Alter Markt in Dortmund ⊙ . The company could look back on more than 550 years of brewing tradition and was family-owned from 1729 to 1996. Dortmunder Kronen was a sponsor of Borussia Dortmund from 1992 to 1996 . The motto of the partnership was: “Kronen and BVB. Together we storm for Dortmund. "
Today the “Wenkers” restaurant is located at the headquarters of the brewery.

- 1894 Oskar Brand, son-in-law of Franz Heinrich Wenker, joins the company
