The Braunschweiger Gruppe , also known as the Otte group, was a right-wing, violent association in Germany .

She was in contact with other right-wing extremists at home and abroad and carried out the following attacks:

  • Bomb attack in front of the public prosecutor's office in Flensburg on September 2, 1977,
  • Bomb attack at the porter's lodge at the Hanover District Court on October 21, 1977.

With a third bomb, a neo-Nazi in Flensburg bombed the building of the Flensburger Nachrichten . Another bomb attack on the synagogue in Hanover was thwarted by the police.

The actors included about twelve people, including

  • Hans-Dieter Lepzien, born in 1943, taxi driver from Peine ,
  • Paul Otte, born in 1924, machine fitter from Braunschweig ,
  • Volker Heidel, born 1954,
  • Oliver Schreiber, born 1958,
  • Wolfgang Sachse, born in 1943.

The Higher Regional Court of Celle , 3rd Criminal Senate, sentenced five members to imprisonment on February 19, 1981 , including Otte to five years and six months and Lepzien to three years.

During the hearing it turned out that Lepzien had been in the group on behalf of Lower Saxony's Office for the Protection of the Constitution , Department IV. The Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior operated the revision of the judgment against Lepzien in federal court , hired a lawyer from the law firm Bossi in Munich and made a plea for clemency in federal president . A penalty was obtained. Lepzien was also active in the National Socialist Action Front ( Kühnen Group ) and in the NSDAP-AO as a “security officer”.
