Cabinet Stefán Jóhann Stefánsson
The Stefán Jóhann Stefánsson was a government of the Democratic Republic of Iceland proclaimed on June 17, 1944 ( Icelandic Lýðveldið Ísland ) . It was formed on February 4, 1947 and replaced the Ólafur Thors II cabinet . It remained in office until December 6, 1949, after which it was replaced by the Ólafur Thors III cabinet .
The cabinet included members of the Social Democratic Party of Iceland (Alþýðuflokkurinn) , the Independence Party (Sjálfstæðisflokkurinn) and the Progressive Party (Framsóknarflokkurinn) .
