Hermann Jónasson was Prime Minister of Iceland from 1934 to 1942 and again from 1956 to 1958

The cabinet of Hermann Jónasson V was a government of the Democratic Republic of Iceland proclaimed on June 17, 1944 ( Icelandic Lýðveldið Ísland ) . It was formed on July 24, 1956 and replaced the Ólafur Thors IV cabinet . It remained in office until December 23, 1958, after which it was replaced by the Emil Jónsson cabinet .

The cabinet included members of the Progressive Party (Framsóknarflokkurinn) , the People's Alliance (Alþýðubandalag) and the Social Democratic Party of Iceland (Alþýðuflokkurinn) .
