Cabinet Steingrímur Hermannsson I
The Cabinet Steingrímur Hermannsson I was a government of the Democratic Republic of Iceland proclaimed on June 17, 1944 ( Icelandic Lýðveldið Ísland ) . It was formed on May 26, 1983, and replaced the Gunnar Thoroddsen cabinet . It remained in office until July 8, 1987, after which it was replaced by the Þorsteinn Pálsson cabinet .
The cabinet included members of the Progressive Party (Framsóknarflokkurinn) and the Independence Party (Sjálfstæðisflokkurinn) .
