history

The Diocese of Hà Tĩnh was established on December 22, 2018 by Pope Francis from cession of territory from the Diocese of Vinh and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Hanoi as a suffragan . First Bishop was Paul Nguyên Thai Hop OP .

The diocese of Hà Tĩnh comprises the provinces of Hà Tĩnh and Quảng Bình .
