The diocese of Bùi Chu ( Latin Dioecesis Buichuensis , Vietnamese Giáo Phan Bùi Chu ) is in Vietnam Located Roman Catholic diocese based in Bùi Chu .

history

Pope Pius IX founded the Vicariate Apostolic Central Tonking on September 5, 1848 out of territory of the Vicariate Apostolic Osttonking . On November 3, 1924, it was named Vicariate Apostolic Bùi Chu.

On March 9, 1936 it lost part of its territory in favor of the Vicariate Apostolic Thái Binh . With the Apostolic Constitution Venerabilium Nostrorum , it was elevated to a diocese on November 24, 1960.
