The diocese of Ba Ria ( Latin Dioecesis Barianensis , Vietnamese Giáo Phan Ba Ria ) is in the south of Vietnam situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Ba Ria province Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province .

It was on November 22, 2005 by Pope Benedict XVI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Ad aptius consulendum from territories of the Diocese of Xuân Lộc and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City as a suffragan . At the same time, the church in Bà Rịa, consecrated to the apostles James and Philip, was elevated to the status of the new cathedral .
