history

The diocese of Phan Thiết was founded on January 30, 1975 by Pope Paul VI. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Arcano Dei from cessions of territory from the Diocese of Nha Trang and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City as a suffragan .
