Paul Nguyên Thai Hop

Paul Nguyên Thai Hop OP (born February 2, 1945 in Lang Anh , Vietnam ) is a Vietnamese religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Hà Tĩnh .

Life

Paul Nguyên Thai Hop joined the religious order of the Dominicans at and received on 8 August 1972, the priestly ordination .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him bishop of Vinh on May 13, 2010 . The episcopal consecration donated him the bishop emeritus of Vinh, Paul-Marie Cao Ðình Thuyên , on July 23 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Paul Bùi Van Ðoc , Bishop of Mỹ Tho , and Antoine Vu Huy Chuong , Bishop of Hưng Hóa .

On December 22, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him the first bishop of Hà Tĩnh. The inauguration took place on February 11, 2019.
