Antoine Vu Huy Chuong ( Vietnamese : Antôn Vũ Huy Chương ; born September 14, 1944 in Bến Thôn ) is a Vietnamese clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Đà Lạt .

Life

Antoine Vu Huy Chuong was ordained a priest on December 18, 1971 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Hưng Hóa on August 5, 2003 . He was ordained episcopate on October 1st of the same year by the Bishop of Nha Trang , Paul Nguyên Van Hòa ; Co- consecrators were Emmanuel Lê Phong Thuân , Bishop of Cần Thơ , and Joseph Ngô Quang Kiêt , Bishop of Lạng Sơn and Cao Bằng . He chose xin vâng as his motto .

On March 1, 2011 he was appointed bishop of Đà Lạt and on March 17 of the same year he was introduced to the office.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on September 14, 2019.
