Dominic Nguyễn Van Manh
Dominic Nguyễn Van Manh (born August 12, 1955 in Cần Thơ , Vietnam ) is a Vietnamese clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Đà Lạt .
Life
His name combines western naming tradition ( Dominic as first name before the family name Nguyễn ) with Vietnamese ( Van Manh as a personal name is behind the family name).
Dominic Nguyen Van Manh received on 29 May 1994, the Bishop of Da Lat, Barthélémy Nguyễn Sơn Lâm PSS , the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On April 8, 2017 Pope appointed him Francis the Coadjutor Bishop of Da Lat. The bishop of Đà Lạt, Antoine Vu Huy Chuong , donated him episcopal ordination on May 31 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the bishop of Phát Diệm , Joseph Nguyen Nang , and the bishop of Kontum , Luy Gonzaga Nguyễn Hùng Vị . On September 14, 2019, Dominic Nguyễn Van Manh became Bishop of Đà Lạt, succeeding Antoine Vu Huy Chuong, who resigned for reasons of age.
