Paul-Marie Cao Ðình Thuyên (born January 7, 1927 in Trang Luu ) is former bishop of Vinh .

Life

Paul-Marie Cao Ðình Thuyên was ordained a priest on May 14, 1960 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Vinh diocese . John Paul II appointed him coadjutor bishop of Vinh on July 6, 1992 .

The Bishop of Vinh, Pierre-Jean Trân Xuân Hap , donated him episcopal ordination on November 19 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Paul Joseph Cardinal Phạm Đình Tụng , Archbishop of Hanoi , and Joseph Nguyên Tùng Cuong , Bishop of Hải Phong .

After Pierre-Jean Trân Xuân Haps retired , he succeeded him on December 11, 2000 as Bishop of Vinh. On May 13, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
