Cabinet Geir Haarde II
The Geir Haarde II cabinet was a government of the Democratic Republic of Iceland proclaimed on June 17, 1944 ( Icelandic Lýðveldið Ísland ) . It was formed on May 24, 2007 and replaced the Geir Haarde I cabinet . It remained until February 1, 2009 at the office, whereupon it from the Cabinet Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir I was replaced.
The cabinet included members of the Independence Party (Sjálfstæðisflokkurinn) and the Alliance (Samfylkingin) .
