Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o !: Kurenai Densetsu ( !この素晴らしい世界に祝福を紅伝説, English title KonoSuba - God's blessing on this wonderful world !! The Movie: Crimson Legend ) is an anime film animation studios JCStaff , by Takaomi Kanasaki who already played the first two seasons of the anime series Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! produced, arises. The release was initially announced for July 12, 2019, later postponed to August 30 of the same year.

On June 25, 2018, it was announced on the anime's official homepage that the franchise would receive an official theatrical film. In July of last year, the voice actors Jun Fukushima and Rie Takahashi , both speaking roles in the anime series, announced that Konosube would get a new project. At the time, however, it was not known which format this project should have.
It was announced that the animation studio JCStaff would be responsible for the implementation , while the anime television series would be created by Studio Deen . It was also announced that the majority of the cast would be retained: Takaomi Kanasaki , who already produced the television series, is active as the director of the film, while Makoto Uezo is working on the script , as in the anime series . Koichi Kikuta is again responsible for the character design, while the film music is composed by Masato Kōda . The voice actors of the main characters, who could already be heard in the anime series, also remain the same.
The title of the anime, Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! Kurenai Densetsu was announced in early November 2018.

On October 20, 2018 it was announced that the anime film will be released in the course of 2019. On January 21, 2019, it was announced that the feature film would hit Japanese theaters on July 12, 2019. The cinema chain Aeon Cinema listed the film for this date, but the entry has since been removed. On April 26, 2019, August 30, 2019 was finally confirmed as the official start date.
In Germany, the film was licensed by Animoon Publishing and is expected to be shown in 150 cinemas in Germany and Austria on October 20, 2019 in the original with German subtitles.
