Cabinet Ólafur Jóhannesson II
The cabinet Ólafur Jóhannesson II was a government of the Democratic Republic of Iceland proclaimed on June 17, 1944 ( Icelandic Lýðveldið Ísland ) . It was formed on September 1, 1978, replacing the Geir Hallgrímsson cabinet . It remained in office until October 15, 1979, after which it was replaced by the cabinet of Benedikt Sigurðsson Gröndal .
The cabinet included members of the Progressive Party (Framsóknarflokkurinn) , the People's Alliance (Alþýðubandalag) and the Social Democratic Party of Iceland (Alþýðuflokkurinn) .
