It is located in a prominent urban development location on the east side of Braunschweiger Straße directly at a bend in the Magdeburg district of Sudenburg . The building is a single monument in the Braunschweiger Straße 1–10, 98–108 monument area . The building, which is also listed, is adjacent to Braunschweiger Straße 5 to the south .

Architecture and history

The two-storey red brick building was built in 1886/1887 as a residential building for the employees of the neighboring Villa Wolf on Klausenerstrasse . Villa and apartment building belonging to the construction period the director of the Magdeburg construction and Credit Bank , Albert Marcks . The coach house was also located at the house . The design of the house takes up the architectural language of the villa and is also built in the neo-Gothic style. There is a central risalit facing the street, which is crowned by a high gable with a crenellated top. Cornices and windows are accentuated with dark brown glazed bricks.

The building is an important example of the brick Gothic of the Hanover School of the second half of the 19th century.
