Cover

The Bravo lettering on the front cover was originally based on that of the magazine. With the third edition, however, the lettering was given the diagonal alignment that has been preserved to this day, with letters of different sizes, some of which are concealed. The letters stepped into the foreground one after the other, so that each letter superimposed the previous one. In the fourth edition, the layering of the letters was adjusted: instead of covering the lower part of the A, the V slipped behind the A. This layout has since been adopted on every new edition and still shapes the appearance of the front cover today. The only exception is the R, which appears before the A on some covers.

Since the issue of BRAVO Hits 44 (published 2004) the company DNSfactory from Hamburg has been creating the BRAVO covers and the corresponding booklets. TV advertising is also always based on the artwork on the cover. Current trends such as B. at BRAVO Hits 83 the topic of cupcakes or at BRAVO Hits 81 the topic of Holi festivals. Big or well-known cinema successes are also discussed in part. Example Alice in Wonderland (BRAVO Hits 68), Twilight (BRAVO Hits 64) or Star Wars (BRAVO Hits 91). When designing the cover, it is generally important to address the largest possible target group with pleasant topics without being political or opinion-forming.
