Brefet is a town in the West African state of Gambia .
According to a calculation for 2013, around 600 people live there, the result of the last published census from 1993 was 370.
geography
Brefet is located in the West Coast Region , Foni Brefet District . The place is six kilometers north of Bessi , which is on South Bank Road .
There was a British trading post near the place in the 1780s , ruins of which have survived.
