The Breitenberghaus is a shelter of the Friends of Nature Germany in the Wendelstein group . The hut can be reached in about an hour from Brannenburg , St. Margarethen district . Nearby mountain peaks are the 1422 m high Rampoldplatte (can be reached from the hut in approx. 1 hour 45 minutes) and the 1625 m high Hochsalwand , which can be reached in around 2 hours . In winter there is a natural toboggan run from the hut to Brannenburg.
