The Bremen Youth Ring is the state youth ring of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen founded in 1991 . As a voluntary association of youth organizations in the state of Bremen, it represents the common interests of 23 member associations in public, in particular towards parties , authorities, the citizenship and the government .

tasks and goals

In addition to representing the interests of the member associations, the Bremer Jugendring advocates the (co-determination) rights of children and young people in Bremen and Bremerhaven in general by:

  • influences Bremen's youth policy through representation in youth welfare committees,
  • takes a position on the financial and legal framework of youth policy as well as on youth, education and socio-political issues in general,
  • the Juleica training in the state of Bremen is coordinated and accompanied by quality,
  • Establishes contacts between adolescents or young adults and politicians and the media,
  • supports young people in creating self-determined and creative spaces as well as in their voluntary commitment and them
  • supports you in communicating your political ideas and implementing your own projects.

In addition to our own event formats such as the "district dialogues", in which young people from different backgrounds enter into a dialogue with (political) decision-makers in the district on a topic of their choice, or the "open air policy", an openly accessible political event in the open air, the Bremer Jugendring also acts as a regional coordination point for the “structured dialogue”, which is based on the EU youth strategy. As part of the “structured dialogue” projects, the Bremer Jugendring supports young people in having a say on European level and with regard to European issues and in actively interfering in shaping current and future living conditions in and beyond Bremen.

With the integrative project Unexpected , young people from Bremen with a migration background are given space to bring their own wishes and their view of things into society. In addition, the Bremer Jugendring offers numerous bookable educational offers for youth groups and school classes, such as the current account module and so on ...! that explains banking transactions clearly and in language appropriate for young people.

The club also operates an independent warehouse in the Volkshaus on Hans-Böckler-Straße in Bremen , where tents, event technology and various materials are lent to youth initiatives and sports clubs for a fee.
