The Bremervörder Zeitung is a regional daily newspaper that appears in the Bremervörde , Gnarrenburg and Selsingen area . The publisher is Verlagsgesellschaft Borgardt mbH & Co. KG, which also publishes the weekly advertising papers Rundschau and Sonntagsjournal . The Bremervörder Zeitung receives its supraregional cover as a member of the Nordsee editorial group from the Nordsee-Zeitung in Bremerhaven. The newspaper has been published as a morning paper since 1992 and has been printed in the Nordsee printing center in Bremerhaven since January 2012 . The sold circulation is 6,064 copies, a decrease of 25 percent since 1998.

history

Due to a hasty decision by the British city commander, the Bremervörder Zeitung appeared for one day on Friday, June 22, 1945 as the unofficial first post-war newspaper in the western occupied territories, which earned it an entry in the Guinness Book of Records . Before it was published on the following Monday, June 25, 1945, the British headquarters in Hamburg revoked the approval that had been granted and the Bremervörder Zeitung was only able to appear again on October 1, 1949.
