Brenkenhof is a residential area in the municipality of Großderschau in the district of Havelland (Brandenburg), which belongs to the Rhinow district . The former community was incorporated into Friedrichsdorf before 1938, which in turn was incorporated into the community of Großderschau in 1939.

In the 1770s, the areas of the Rhinluch and the Dossiederung , which mainly belonged to the Neustadt an der Dosse district, were drained and made arable. This was connected with the dike in the lower Dosse , the Rhins and the Jäglitz . A whole series of new colonies , including Brenkenhof , were established on the land that was gained .

As early as 1770, the Secret Finance Councilor Franz Balthasar Schönberg von Brenkenhoff had traveled through the area of ​​the new colony and drafted a settlement plan. In the spring of 1773, the Minister von Derschau , the Secret Council von Brenkenhoff and the Domain Councilor Giese received the order to create a colony on the Gülitz-Horst. The colony established on the Gülitz-Horst in 1773/4 was initially named after the field name. Only a little later it was called Brenkenhof, named after the Secret Finance Councilor of Brenkenhof (f). Historically, the area belonged to the Brandenburg district of Ruppin .

The new colony was occupied by eight Palatine families, each of whom received 50 acres , the Schulze Michel Güttel received 2 more acres. You had 4 free years. 1800 lived in eight houses in addition to the eight half-farmers and their families, 15 residents in Brenkenhof. In 1840 the number of houses had risen to nine. In 1860 there were eleven residential buildings and 15 farm buildings. In 1900, 14 houses were counted.

Brenkenhof was incorporated into Friedrichsdorf before 1938 and was then part of Friedrichsdorf. On January 1, 1939, Friedrichsdorf was incorporated into Großderschau. Today Brenkenhof is a residential area of ​​the community Großderschau. The community Großderschau belongs to the Rhinow district in the Havelland district.
