The Brennabor type P is the first car that the Brennabor works brought out in 1919 after the First World War . At the beginning of the 1920s, 100 of this mid-range car were produced per day for domestic sales alone.
The vehicle had a 4-cylinder SV in-line engine with a displacement of 2.1 liters at the front. It developed 17.5 kW (24 hp) at 2400 rpm. About one with asbestos occupied cone clutch and a 4-speed gearbox with shift lever on the right of the car outside, he drove to the rear wheels. The cars with U-profile pressed steel box frames had rigid axles with semi-elliptical longitudinal leaf springs and were available as open six-seater (model P6) or open sports four-seater (model P11). Her mechanical foot brake slowed the cardan shaft ; the handbrake worked on the rear wheels.
In 1925 the successor model Brennabor type PW appeared . Its engine was somewhat more powerful with the same displacement (32 hp at 2600 rpm). The gearshift lever had moved from the right side of the car to the center of the car, with the driver still sitting on the right. In addition, the body was a little longer with the same wheelbase. In addition to the models mentioned above, there was now also a 4-door sedan (model P15).
A total of around 10,000 copies of the two types were built by 1927.
