The Bretterwandspitze ( 2887 m above sea level ) is a mountain peak of the Gradötzkamm in the Granatspitz group in the municipality of Matrei in East Tyrol in the Lienz district . The Bretterwandspitze is one of the local mountains or viewing peaks of the municipality of Matrei.
location
The boards tip wall is situated at a west side of the comb Gradötzkamms which the Stelachturm ( 3038 m above sea level. A. branches) to the southwest. The Stelachtum is followed to the southwest by the Dürrenfeldscharte ( 2823 m above sea level ), which separates the Stelachturm from the northeast summit ( 2855 m above sea level ) of the Bretterwandspitze. Followed by another notch ( 2755 m above sea level ) the mountain ridge climbs up to the main summit of the Bretterwandspitze, then the ridge falls to the Bretterwandhöhe ( 2620 m above sea level ) and to the Bunzkögele ( 2430 m above sea level ). The plank wall visible from afar into the valley is a mountain flank that drops steeply to the southeast south of the plank wall height and east of the Bunzkögele. To the north and west of the Bretterwandspitze is the Steiner Bach , to the east the Bretterwandbach rises .
Promotion opportunities
The normal route to the Bretterwandspitze starts at a parking lot above the scattered settlement of Glanz ( 1530 m above sea level ). A forest path leads you over the tree line and then crosses the mountain slope to the Äußere Steineralm ( 1914 m above sea level ) to the northwest via the Edelweißwiese . From the Steineralm the path first follows the Steiner Bach and then climbs east up the slope to the Bunzkögele, from which you first reach the boardwalk height along the ridge and then the main summit with the summit cross. Alternatively, the ascent to the Äußere Steineral can also be made from the Felbertauernstraße (Steiner Wasserfall car park) via the hamlet of Stein .
