history

The hut was built in 1927–1929 on the initiative of the Saaz section as a joint effort by all Sudeten German sections of the Alpine Club. The opening took place on July 21, 1929. From 1944 to 1951 the hut was closed due to the turmoil after the war.

As part of the 70th anniversary, the extension with a new guest room and sanitary facilities was inaugurated in 1999. The hut is supplied by helicopter.

In 2014, when the Sudeten section was taken over, the hut became the property of the Swabian section.
