The Vordere Kendlspitze , a mountain with a height of 3085 m above sea level. A. , is located in the Hohe Tauern in Austria , near Kals and is the southernmost three-thousand-meter peak of the Granatspitz group . The normal ascent is relatively easy to climb in dry and snow-free conditions. From the summit, which is equipped with a remarkable summit cross, in good weather conditions you can enjoy an excellent view to the east to the Großglockner and to the west to the Venediger group .
rise
The normal ascent (also called Saazer Weg ) leads just south of the Dürrenfeldscharte ( 2823 m above sea level ), first in a south-easterly direction along the western flank of the Hinteren Kendlspitze , then rising steeply to the east, partly over loose rock into the notch between Vorderer and Hinterer Kendlspitze . On the short, rocky summit ridge that now begins and leads to the south, which initially has wire rope insurance (difficulty I on the UIAA scale ), you reach the highest point. (Ascent time from the Dürrenfeldscharte approx. 0.75 hours)
The Dürrenfeldscharte or the beginning of the normal ascent is best reached from Kals am Großglockner / Großdorf , with the two sections of the Blauspitz lift , from the mountain station (approx. 2300 m ) via the Aussig-Teplitzer-Weg , the Hohe Tor and the Sudetendeutschen Höhenweg (walking time from the mountain station approx. 2½ hours). The Sudetendeutsche Hütte ( 2650 m above sea level ), from which you can reach the Dürrenfeldscharte in about 1 hour , is also a base for an ascent .
