Steel Eagle II is a 1988 action film directed by Sidney J. Furie . It is a sequel to the 1986 film The Steel Eagle .
action
In the Middle East (according to the map in Iraq) there is a nuclear facility that is viewed as a threat by both the Soviets and the USA and must therefore be eliminated. The United States Department of Defense decides against General Stillmore's proposal to carry out a high-altitude nuclear strike and instead use a binational unit of Americans and Soviets to destroy this facility. Colonel Charles Chappy Sinclair is commissioned to carry out the action and is temporarily promoted to general. In Israel, both groups meet for practice purposes, which leads to disputes over different ideologies. After the death of an American pilot, Sinclair finds out that the operation was sabotaged by both his own and the other side by selecting soldiers who inevitably do not get along with “the other side” and who in some cases “militarily and politically” “ cold ”. When the original plan of a nuclear attack is resumed, the group decides to fly off on their own and destroy the facility, which they succeed.
