Huben is a village in the municipality of Matrei in Osttirol in the cadastral municipality of Matrei in Osttirol Land . In 2011 Huben had 172 inhabitants.

Location

Huben is located at 819 m above sea level in the Iseltal at the junction to Defereggental and Kalser Tal , 7 km south of Matrei in East Tyrol, halfway between Lienz and the Felbertauern tunnel on the Felbertauernstrasse (B108). In Huben, the Schwarzach and the Kalserbach flow into the Isel .

Several sports clubs are based in Huben. In addition to a football club, a very successful ice hockey club (UECR Huben) is also part of the village.
