Noel Brian Bedford (born December 24, 1933 in Ferndale , Rhondda Cynon Taf ) is a former Welsh football player in the position of striker .

Life

After Bedford initially only worked for one season each at Reading FC and Southampton FC , he was for the next three years from 1956 to 1959 with AFC Bournemouth under contract. He then moved to the Queens Park Rangers , where he had his longest stay at the age of six. In each of his six seasons with QPR, he scored at least 20 goals and a total of 180 in his 283 appearances for the Rangers, making him the club's top scorer in all six seasons.

After further brief engagements at Scunthorpe United (1965/66), Brentford FC (1966/67), Atlanta Chiefs (1967/68) and Bexley United (1968/69), he ended his active career. He then worked as a tennis instructor and later as an employee of his long-standing Queens Park Rangers club. Bedford now lives in Cardiff and enjoys playing golf .
