Brian Nash

Brian Philip Nash (born May 20, 1963 in Liverpool , England ) is a British guitarist , author and actor . He was a member of the pop band Frankie Goes to Hollywood and runs the record label, Babylon Pink. His nickname is Nasher Nash .

Life

Nash was an electrician when he formed the band Sons of Egypt with Peter Gill and Holly Johnson . In 1980, Gill and Johnson left the band and formed Frankie Goes to Hollywood . Nash later followed them. The first single Relax reached number 1 in the UK charts in 1984.

Nash declined to participate in a Frankie Goes to Hollywood Reunion in 2004, but later agreed to a reunion when the TV broadcaster VH1 approached him with the show, Show Bands Reunited . The band got back together in the TV studio but ended up not performing together because Holly Johnson refused.

In 2008 he released his third album, A Lo Minimo, and in July 2009 Nash recorded a cover of You'll Never Walk Alone for his father's funeral. In 2012 he wrote a book about his life and the band Frankie Goes to Hollywood. In 2013, Nash produced the experimental band's album, Ground Pilots - In The Way Of The Oceans . As an actor, he starred in the 2015 film Saturday, directed by Mike Forshaw, in the role of a dock worker.
