The Bridge Studios are a film production center in the Canadian city of Vancouver . It is located on Boundary Road in Burnaby , British Columbia , Canada . It has six production halls, offices and other facilities.

history

In 1975 the first film production began on the premises in northern Vancouver in a makeshift film studio. In 1987, due to pressure from the local film industry and its supporters and advocates, the Provincial Government of British Columbia agreed to set up a permanent film studio on the site. In 1987 the first series, u. a. MacGyver and Stakeout , produced in these studios. Since 1987, more than 100 film and television productions have been made there.

In the meantime, the British Columbia government decided to sell the studios to the developer Larco Investments.
