Coordinates: 33 ° 57 ′ S , 116 ° 8 ′ E The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 1340 km² and has about 4650 inhabitants (2016).
Bridgetown-Greenbushes is located in the southwest of the state about 230 km south of the capital Perth . The headquarters of the Shire Council is in Bridgetown, where about 2800 inhabitants live (2016). The mining ( tantalum and lithium ) in Greenbushes is economically significant .

The Bridgetown-Greenbushes Council has eleven members elected by residents of the four wards (four from the Central, three from the East and two each from the North and West Ward). The Council Chairman and President des Shires are also recruited from among the Councilor.
