Brie King (* 24. January 1998 in Langley , British Columbia , Canada as Brie O'Reilly ) is a Canadian volleyball player .

Career

society

King began playing volleyball at the age of nine. During her studies, she played with the Trinity Western Spartans at Trinity Western University from 2015 to 2019 . At the beginning of September 2019, the German Bundesliga club Dresdner SC announced the commitment of Brie as a replacement for Bryanna Weiskircher, who suffered from Pfeiffer's glandular fever . King signed a one-year contract with the club. With the club she managed to win the DVV Cup . After the current season had been declared over by the German Volleyball Bundesliga on March 12, 2020, before the last match day of the main round due to the global COVID-19 pandemic , King agreed with the Dresdner SC on the immediate termination of the contract.

National team

In July 2019, King was appointed to the Canadian women's national volleyball team for the first time for the Olympic qualification tournament in Kaliningrad . With the team she also took part in the NORCECA championship 2019 and won the bronze medal.

Private

King's sister is former national volleyball player Lauren O'Reilly .
