Briony McRoberts

Briony McRoberts (born February 10, 1957 in Welwyn Garden City , Hertfordshire , † July 17, 2013 in Fulham , London ) was a British actress in film, television and theater. She played in the cinema productions Inspector Clouseau - The best man at Interpol and Split - Edge of Sanity .

life and career

Briony McRoberts, born in 1957 in Welwyn Garden City, in the county of Hertfordshire, began her television career in 1970 with the role of Anna in the British comedic television series Bachelor Father, which she played in nineteen episodes until 1971.

One of her early acting roles came in 1976 when she was hired by director Blake Edwards at the age of nineteen for his Inspektor Clouseau film series in the part of Margo Fassbender in the part Inspector Clouseau - The Best Man at Interpol . She played her second role in a cinema production in 1989 in Gérard Kikoïne's horror thriller Split - Edge of Sanity , starring prominently with Anthony Perkins and Glynis Barber . In the 1990s she was seen in the role of Sam Hagen in the series Take the High Road in a total of thirty-three episodes. Her last television role was in the series The Bill in 2005 .

McRoberts has appeared in more than fifteen well-known British television series during her career, including Bachelor Father (1970–1971), The Crezz (1976), Malice Aforethought (1979), Sink or Swim (1982), The Professionals (1983), Mr Palfrey of Westminster (1984-1985) or Take the High Road (1992-2000).

On stage she had numerous appearances in London's West End , including the role of Wendy Darling in the Peter Pan play at the Shaftesbury Theater in 1980, she also played in the musical Maggie , also at the Shaftesbury Theater and in the performance of Charley's Aunt on Aldwych Theater in 1983.

Briony McRoberts died on July 17, 2013, aged 56, after being struck by a London Underground train at Fulham Broadway station .

She was married to British actor David Robb .
