The British women's volleyball team is a selection of the best British women players who represent the British Volleyball Federation in international tournaments and internationals.

history

Only the English Association (Volleyball England) took 18th place at the European Volleyball Championship in 1971. Otherwise, until 2006, no British team took part in any of the international competitions.

The FIVB approved the formation of a joint British national team at a meeting of the Board of Administration in May 2006. The CEV recognized the regulation. The "Team Great Britain" brings together players from England , Northern Ireland , Scotland and Wales . This project is part of a series of initiatives that the British referred to in the 2012 Olympic Games in London to prepare.
