Britta Kornmesser

Britta Kornmesser (born August 5, 1968 in Brandenburg (Havel) , GDR ) is a German hydraulic engineer and politician ( SPD ). In the state election in Brandenburg in 2019 , she received a direct mandate in the Brandenburg state parliament in the constituency of Brandenburg an der Havel II .

education and profession

She attended the Polytechnic Oberschule from 1975 to 1985 and then passed the Abitur at the Extended Oberschule until 1987 . She completed her civil engineering studies at the TU Dresden from 1988 to 1994 with a degree in hydraulic engineering .
After her legal clerkship from 1994 to 1996 at the waterways and shipping administration of the federal government , she worked as head of department at the waterways and shipping office in Brandenburg an der Havel, most recently as deputy head. She is on leave for the time of her mandate in the state parliament.

politics

Britta Kornmesser has been a member of the SPD since 2005. She has held a mandate for her party in the city council of Brandenburg since 2008, and has been parliamentary group leader there since 2013.

Kornmesser is single and has one child.
