Brittany Persaud (born April 1, 1990 in Westerville , Ohio ) is a Guyanese - American football player .
Career
Persaud started her career with Columbus , Ohio- based Blast FC. From 2005 to 2006 she attended Westerville North High School and 2007 to 2008 Westerville Central High School.
This was followed by athletic scholarships at the University of Dayton and Wright State University . In her high school and university years she played in the women soccer teams of the Athletic Section.
In March 2011, she started her professional football career and made her debut for Dayton Dutch Lions FC in the W-League. After playing a few games, she returned to Wright State University in the fall of 2011 and played for the Raiders. She graduated from university in winter 2011 and moved to Sweden to Kungsbacka DFF in Division 1 Södra. There she played for four months and then moved to the Tölö IF Dam team. In July 2012 she got an offer from ADO Den Haag from the newly founded BeNe League and made her debut in the BeNe League Orange on August 24, 2012 against PSV / FCE. After scoring a goal for ADO Den Haag in 14 games, she moved to league rivals SC Telstar VVNH in summer 2013 .
National team
Persaud has been a national player for the Guyanese national football team since 2009 . In July 2010, as captain , she led the Guyanese national team for the first time to participate in the CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup .
